Benoît Moreau werkte twintig jaar op het domein van vader Bernard Moreau waar hij voor de kelder en de wijnstokken zorgde.
In 2020 scheidde hij zich van zijn broer Alexandre en zette een handelsactiviteit op in afwachting van de exploitatie van zijn eigen wijnstokken. Gepassioneerd door biodynamiek wil Benoît heel ver gaan in zijn landbouwpraktijken: hij bewerkt de wijngaarden met lichte machines zodat ze voldoende zuurstof kunnen opnemen en verzorgt zijn wijnstokken zoveel mogelijk met de hand. In de kelder kan hij eindelijk zijn rijping verlengen om de zuiverheid van de wijnen die hij wenst te bekomen. Vanaf jaargang 2021 begint hij te werken aan de geërfde percelen om zo optimaal mogelijk de eigenheid van de terroirs van Chassagne-Montrachet tot uitdrukking te brengen, zoals de premier cru La Cardeuse wit, een wereldprimeur.
Als perfectionist en getalenteerd wijnmaker en met slechts twee jaargangen op zijn naam, maakt hij al deel uit van de elite van de Côte de Beaune. Zijn wijnen hebben nu reeds hun plaats verworven op de fijnste wijnkaarten.
Jaargang 2021 is een schot in de roos en zal u gemakkelijk kunnen overtuigen van de grootsheid van zijn Chassagnes. Les Charrières 2021 is van meesterlijke elegantie: zowel luchtig als geworteld, heeft het een evenwichtige rijpheid waarbij de zuurgraad nooit de boventoon voert over het vruchtvlees. Iets dat in heel het gamma terugkomt.
La Maltroie 2021 wordt gekenmerkt door een fijne reductie, die voorafgaat aan een pure en intense vrucht die zich eindeloos ontvouwt. Zeer energiek in het midden van de mond, met een fijn, aanhoudend zoutgehalte, gedragen door het gewicht van fruit dat op goede rijpheid is geoogst. Schitterend. Met een prachtige aromatische frisheid ontleent Fairendes 2021 zijn smaak aan de mineraliteit van de bodem met een zeer mooie haarlijn als rotswater.
Afkomstig uit de Morgeot-sector wordt La Cardeuse 2021 gekenmerkt door een gecontroleerde reductie. Het fruit heeft de tijd nodig om tot uitdrukking te komen in het glas, we ontdekken een vleugje citroen met zout. In de mond is het een stroom levend water, beladen met minerale zouten. Fijn en sierlijk in de neus, Les Grandes Ruchottes wordt een echte bal van energie in de mond. Krachtig, verfijnd en vertoont een volledig tellurisch zoutgehalte van eindeloze lengte.
In rood ruikt La Cardeuse 2021 naar kleine rode vruchten. De textuur in de mond is vol nuance en delicaat dankzij de fijne tannines. Een zeer aangename, elegante wijn met een groot evolutiepotentieel. Door zich los te maken van het familiedomein, vervolgt Benoît Moreau het pad van uitmuntendheid door nog verder te gaan in termen van elegantie, terroiridentiteit en intensiteit.

Benoît Moreau worked for twenty years on the estate of father Bernard Moreau, where he took care of the cellar and the vines. In red, La Cardeuse 2021 smells of small red fruits. The texture in the mouth is full of nuance and delicate thanks to the fine tannins.
